Air Condition Services

Maintaining your A/C system regularly will keep it operating at peak performance.

Have you been sweltering in your vehicle lately? Perhaps your car's air conditioner isn't functioning properly. Maintaining your AC System is very important. The cooling and heating systems of your vehicle may break eventually with usage, hose pipes may clog and drip if not serviced, cause reduced efficiency cooling and heating capabilities. Regular maintenance will keep your AC system operating at peak performance! At Millharbour Autos, our experts will fix your A/C problems.

Indications your A/C system may be having issues:

  • If your air conditioning blows only slightly cooler air compared to the exterior air
  • Air that blows in smells damp, musty, or like mould
  • Your cabin does not cool up when weather is hot, or is just a little cooler than outside
  • Your A/C system only functions when driving, not when idling, or quits blowing when the car is stationary
  • Your air conditioning blows warm air or the heating system blows cold air
  • Low airflow even at the highest fan setting
  • A comprehensive evaluation of A/C and heating system includes:

  • Examining the internal controls and blower
  • Checking radiator coolant operating temperature, hoses, pressure radiator cap and thermostat
  • Inspecting the compressor belt
  • Inspecting system and seals for leaks or various other damages
  • A cooling system pressure test
  • Verifying the A/C pressure meets manufacturer specifications
  • Measuring the interior vent air temperature

    Air Conditioning

We have qualified service professionals who can have your air conditioner serviced, repaired, or replaced.

    Coolant System Flush

A car's air conditioning system contains a coolant which transfers excess heat from one part of the engine and finally loses it through the radiator fins. With time, the a/c coolant becomes old and dirty. The old coolant will negatively impact the system's performance. To make sure the system is working effectively, consider having a regular coolant system flush. A coolant flush is basic maintenance for your car's cooling system.

    Belts

A fan belt, also known as a drive belt, is a belt connecting your car's engine to the front mounted accessories. The fan belt rotates the water pump and engine fan, which maintains a cool environment for the engine and its components. Sooner or later, your vehicle's fan belts will dry out and crack. You do not only have to get the belts replaced with quality ones but should have it done by vehicle cooling and heating experts and get your car driving right. Visit us when you are ready for a replacement.

    Hoses

Hoses transfer coolant throughout the engine's cooling system (including the radiator). Sooner or later, your vehicle's hoses will have to be replaced when it dries out and cracks. This can be done by our service technicians.

    Radiators

Radiators are heat exchangers for cooling your car's internal combustion engine. A radiator cools the engine by circulating an engine coolant through the engine block - it then loses the heat to the atmosphere through radiation. A radiator has a set of tubes through which the engine coolant flows. Fins surround these tubes. When the radiator fails, the excess heat produced by the engine could damage the engine components. To prevent this from happening, you can have your radiator serviced regularly by us.

    Radiator Flush

The radiator is the part of your vehicle that keeps the engine cool and protects it from excessive heating. To be cool, the radiator needs to remain clean - always. With time, sludge, rust and other solid deposits build up inside your car's radiator. These make the cooling system become clogged and less effective. This in effect hurts your vehicle's performance. A regular radiator flush is enough to keep the system in shape. For this reason, make radiator flushing a part of your routine car maintenance schedule.

    Vehicle cooling check

It's important to prepare and check your vehicle for the perils of hot climate - heat, dust, traffic jams - these increase the likelihood of a breakdown. We can perform the necessary preventive maintenance to have your car cool always. These are some of the recommended services:

  • Check the battery
  • Change the fluids
  • Examine the belts and hoses
  • Check climate and coolant systems
  • Check wiper blades
  • Check tires
  • Check headlights, turn signals, and tail lights
  • Your car will be cool in the hot weather so you can enjoy your driving.
